This article will inform the user on how to create a purchase order to send to a vendor.
Note: Currently, Trident1 doesn’t support the automatic purchase order push directly to the vendor through EDI.
1. Hover the mouse over the Products menu
2. Then hover over Purchase Order
3. Click Create Purchase Order
Fill out the following fields on the purchase order creation:
Locate the desired vendor by using the Vendor Name field
a. Type in the Field and utilize the drop-down
b. Click on the Magnifying Glass and locate the desired vendor
Click on the drop-down to select the applicable PO Type
Note: The most common PO type option is the ‘MANUAL’ type
Additional. Note: Other PO options are blurred above because they are related to the forecasting functionality of Trident1.
Add the intended product to the purchase order by:
a. Scanning or typing the unit barcode in the Barcode column
b. Scanning or typing the UPC, product #, or unit barcode in the Product # column
c. Typing in the product description in the Product Description column
Note: To create a product from this line, click on the + icon. For more information, please read the Article for How to Create a Product
Enter the intended quantity in the Order Qty column
Verify and edit the current cost of the item
Click Add Product to add additional products and lines
Click the radio buttons to indicate how you intend on paying the vendor
2. Add any additional comments in the PO Comments field
1. Finalize the purchase order by clicking Finalize PO
2. Save the purchase order to revisit by clicking Save As Is
Note: To abort at any time, click Cancel
