This article is meant to inform the user on the proper process for creating a new customer
1. Visit the Trident1 provided portal
2. Enter in your username and password
3. Click Login
1. Hover the mouse over the Personal & Admin menu
2. Then hover over Settings
3. Click Custom Settings
Scroll down the page
Navigate to the Customer section
4. Click on the downward carat to expand the section
Customer name autofill relates to the system automatically assigning a Customer Name value when the user inputs a First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name value.
1.Click the checkbox to the right side of the custom setting to enable
1. Hover the mouse over the Customer menu
2. Then hover over Customers
3. Click Create Customer
Trident1 recommends the following fields to be filled out:
1. Customer Name - Fill in the Customer Name manually or skip if utilizing the autofill functionality.
2. Customer Number - Fill in the Customer Number to identify the customer. The system will automatically assign if empty.
3. Contact First Name
4. Contact Middle Name
5. Contact Last Name
6. Date of Birth - Click on the drop-downs to select the customer’s birth date
7. Phone - Fill in the customer’s primary phone number
8. Other Phone - Fill in the Other Phone field for additional information
9. Email - Enter a valid email to contact the customer
Scroll down the page
Click on the downward carat beside the Customer Detail to expand the section
1. Default Price - this will be the default price that the customer is assigned from the POS. Click on the drop-down to assign a default price
2. Sell Price - this will be the sell price if they have a sell price plan associated. Click on the drop-down to assign a sell price plan.
3. List Price - this will be the list price for the customer. Click on the drop-down if you would like to define a different list price.
4. Driver's License Number - Click in the field to input a driver's license number for the customer.
5. Driver's License State - Click in the field to input a driver's license state.
6. Driver's License Expiration Date - Click in the drop-downs to select a driver's license expiration date.
7. LTC ID# - Optional. Click in the field to input the License to Carry ID number
8. LTC Expiration Date - Optional. Click in the field to input the expiration date of the LTC.
1. Billing Address - Click in the field to input the billing address.
2. Billing City - Click in the field to input the billing city.
3. Billing State - Click in the field to input the billing state.
4. Billing Zip Code - Click in the field to input the billing zip code.
5. Billing County - Click in the field to input the billing county.
6. Billing Country - Click in the field to input the billing country.
If the shipping address is the same as the billing address, click on the Same as Billing Information checkbox to copy the values
Otherwise, fill out the Shipping Address section similar to the Billing Address section.
If the customer has an FFL, expand the FFL Detail section and fill out all of the fields to define them as an FFL holder.
