How to Create a Sales Order

This article is meant to inform the user how to create a sales order i.e. "ring up a customer"

Process
Log in to Trident1
1. Visit the Trident1 provided portal
2. Enter your user name and password
3.Click Login
Create a Sales Order
Non-Serialized Items
Click the Point of Sale menu at the very top left beside your company logo
Utilize the Customer Name field to find the customer by:
a. Entering a customer name and selecting from the drop-down
b. Clicking the Magnifying Glass icon and utilizing the customer database
c. Clicking the + icon to create a new customer
Note: If the customer doesn’t have a profile or is a walk-in customer, click on the icon for Default Customer
3. Select “Normal Sale” for the Transaction Type
4. Find the product by:
a. Clicking the Product or Barcode # field and scanning the UPC
b. Start typing the product number, UPC or barcode in the Product field
c. Clicking the Magnifying Glass within the Product field
d. Clicking the + sign to create a new product
e. Typing the Product Description field
5. Ensure that the Sell Price has populated properly or manually change the Sell Price
Note: If Tax is not populated correctly, click the Tax to ensure that tax is applied correctly.
6. Click Add Product if you need to add additional items
Note: If you are scanning items, the POS will automatically add a new line for flawless scanning
7. Choose the payment method
7. Follow the payment prompts to finish the sales order
Serialized Items
Complete Steps 1-4 as above
5. Click the Select SN button to select the SN associated (if there are multiple SNs to the product)
6. Ensure that the Sell Price has populated properly or manually change the Sell Price
Note: If tax is not populated correctly, click on the Tax to ensure that tax is applied correctly.
7. Click Add Product if you need to add additional items
8. Click Confirm BoundBook Info to confirm the disposition
9. Verify the info is correct and the OTSN/NTN is filled in
10. Click Proceed with FastBound Disposition
11. Select the payment method
12. Follow prompts to finalize the sales order
Note: If you are utilizing the Delayed Disposition setting, you will need to manually dispose at this time.
