How to Create and Edit Filters

Overview

This article is meant to inform the user on how to create and edit filters

Filters are the most important aspect of your system navigation.

Process

Pertinent Settings

Permission Settings

1. Hover the mouse over the Personal & Admin menu

2. Then hover over Settings

3. Click Custom Settings

4. In the Search by CS Custom Setting by Title, type 'filter' and press Enter

5. Click the drop-down item, 'Who can Create/Edit/Delete Filters'

6. Utilize the arrows to grant roles the ability to manipulate Filters

 

System Navigation

1. Navigate to a system module listings page

Note: for this illustration, we will utilize the Customers screen

2. Click New to create a new filter

3. Name the filter to your preference

4. If you would like this filter to be the default when you navigate to the screen, check the box for Set as Default

5. If you would like to list metrics in the view such as sales, check the box for List in Metrics

6. Click the drop-down to choose your preferred fields

7. After choosing your preferred Fields, click Save to save the view

8. To choose the saved view, click the drop-down to select the filter

9. Click Show All to display the full view
