Overview

This Article will inform the User the Process to install a Printer and map to Trident1

Process

Methods

There are 2 different methods to install a Printer and map it to Trident1.

  • QZ Tray

  • PrintNode

QZ Tray

Install the Printer to the computer

1.Power on the Printer

2.Plug the Printer into the Computer through a USB

3.Download the Driver associated to the Printer

4.Verify that the Printer is showing as available on Windows Printers and Scanners

Download QZ Tray

1.Visit the Website https://qz.io/download/

2.Download QZ Tray

3.Follow the prompts to Save the File and Run

If needed

4.Update Java through the prompt depicted (JDK Version)

Action QZ Tray

1.Find QZ Tray on the Windows ToolBar

2.Right-click on the QZ Tray Icon

3.Click on About

4.Click on Detailed library information

5. Download the certificates

Certify the Site through QZ Tray

1.Find QZ Tray on the Windows ToolBar

2.Right-click on the QZ Tray Icon

3.Hover over Advanced

4. Hover over Diagnostic

5.Click on Browse App Folder

6.Click on Demo

7.Click on Sample

8. Click the checkbox to Allow and remember this decision

Certify the Site through Trident1

1.Visit your Trident1 Portal

Once the QZ Tray pop-up is initiated

2.Click on the box to Allow and Always Remember this Decision

Note: If you have not received this pop-up, clear cache on your machine and reload the Site

Connect the Printer to Trident1

1.Hover over Personal & Admin

2.Hover over Settings

3.Click on Printing Options

4.Click on Add Printer by Location

[insert SS]

Add the Printer

1.Click the drop-down to select the Location

2. Select the Module intended

3. Click on Add New Printer

4. Type in the Printer Name

5. Click on Save Printer Map

Map the Printer

1.Click the drop-down to select the Location

2.Select the Module intended

3.Click the drop-down for Printers

4.Select the Printer intended

5.Click on Save Printer Map

PrintNode

Install the Printer to the computer

1.Power on the Printer

2.Plug the Printer into the Computer through a USB

3.Download the Driver associated to the Printer

4.Verify that the Printer is showing as available on Windows Printers and Scanners

Download PrintNode

1.Support will provide you with PrintNode credentials

2.Support will input the API Credentials into your Trident1 Portal

3. Visit PrintNode.com

4.Click on Login to the top-right

5. Enter your Sign-in credentials

6.Click Sign In

7.Click on Downloads

8.Download the Program specific to your Computer

9. Save and Run the File

Sign in to PrintNode Client

1.PrintNode Client will automatically run or you may need to click on the PrintNode Program on your Computer

2.Log-in using your PrintNode Credentials

3.PrintNode will automatically attach to your machine

Connect the Printer to Trident1

1.Hover over Personal & Admin

2.Hover over Settings

3.Click on Printing Options

4.Click on Add Printer by Location

[insert SS]

5.Click on the Location drop-down and select the intended Location

6.Click Get List of PrintNode Printers

7. Click on OK to verify that you would like to Get List of PrintNode Printers

8. Highlight the intended Printer

9.Click on Save this Printer to the Printers List

Map the Printer to the Module in Trident1

1.Click the drop-down to select the Location

2.Select the Module intended

3.Click the drop-down for Printers

4.Select the Printer intended

5.Click on Save Printer Map
