How to Extend a Membership

Overview

This article is intended to instruct the User on how to extend a membership. A membership Extension is best utilize when the Business is needed to add on additional days or months to a membership but is not ringing up for a new membership entirely.

Process

Pertinent Settings

1. Hover the mouse over Personal & Admin

2. Then hover over Settings

3. Click Custom Settings

Permission to Use Membership Extensions

In the Search CS Custom Settle by Title field:

1. Type ‘extension’

2. Click on the setting for Permission to Use Membership Extension in the drop-down

 

3. Click the ON box to enable

4. Click to highlight the roles to enable

5. Click the arrows to move the highlighted role over to the enabled roles listbox

 

6. Click anywhere outside the User section to cloud save the setting

How to Extend a Membership

Create a Sales Order

1. Click the Point of Sale menu

2. Type the member’s name in the Customer Name field

3. Type ‘Membership Extension’ in the Product Number or Product Description field

 

Extend the Membership

At this point, you will see the the Membership Details dialog

 

1. For the Extension Mode, click the radio button for ‘Days’ or ‘Months’

 

2. Enter the Extension Value

3. Click Submit

 

4. Manually enter a Sell Price if you are charging the customer

 

5. Finalize the sales order by choosing a payment method
