How to Create an FFL Transfer In

Overview
This article is meant to inform the user on how to create and accept an inbound FFL transfer of a firearm.
Process
Log in to Trident1
1. Visit the Trident1 provided portal
2. Enter your username and password
3. Click Login
Navigate to the Receive Inbound FFL Transfer Module
1. Hover the mouse over Products menu
2. Then hover over Firearm Transfers
3. Click Receive Inbound FFL Transfer
Fill out Sender Information
At this point of the process, you will need to fill out the Sender Type, this is the Sending Party, who sent it to you.
Sender Type: FFL
1. Click Sender Type: FFL
2. Input in the FFL Number of the sending party
3. Click on the Binoculars to utilize the FFL Scope FFL Finder functionality
4. The system will then ask you to confirm the FFL name
5. Click on expected prompt to proceed
Click on Yes if this is correct and proceed to step 6
Click on No if this is not correct and to return to step 1
6. The system will auto-fill FFL details obtained from FFL Scope
Note: These are the only details provided to Trident1 from FFL Scope; the user may need to input in additional details provided.
Sender Type: Customer
1.Click on Sender Type: Customer Radio button
2. Perform the intended Customer Search action
a. Input in the Customer Name and utilize the Customer Search drop-down
b. Search the customer database by clicking on the Magnifying Glass
c. Create a new customer by clicking on the + button
Sender Type: Vendor
1.Click on the radio button for Sender Type: Vendor
2. Enter in the vendor information and select the vendor in the drop-down
Fill Out Receiver Information
1. Enter the Receiving Customer Name and utilize the Customer drop-down to pre-select your customer. If the customer is available, proceed to step 3
2. If the customer is not available, you may utilize the additional options:
a. Search the Customer Database for a viable customer record by clicking on the Magnifying glass
b. Click on the + button to create a new customer
3. After the customer is selected, their demographic Information will appear below
4. Insert in any notes related to the transaction, then click out of the box to save
Fill out Transfer Details
To input a Transfer Item:
1. Click on the + button beside the Product # field
In the Create Transfer Product dialog, you will have two options:
a. Create New Transfer Product
b. Use Existing Transfer Product as Template
Create New Transfer Product
1. Click Create New Transfer Product
2. Click Continue
3. The product number will be auto-generated
4. Fill out all applicable product and ATF fields
Product Description
ATF Manufacturer - Required
ATF Importer - Optional
ATF Model - Required
ATF Type - Required
ATF Caliber - Required
5. Change Has Serial Number to Yes (if default field setting is No)
6. Enter the serial number of the firearm
7. Click Save
Use Existing Transfer Product as Template
1. Select Use Existing Transfer Product as Template
2. Type or scan in a product Identifier such as Product Number, UPC, Barcode and press Enter
3. Utilize the Product Database drop down to select your product
4. Click Continue
The Create Transfer Product fields will be auto-filled according to pre-existing product Information, edit if needed.
5. Ensure Has Serial Number is Yes and enter the serial number
6.Click Save
Finishing Receive FFL Firearms Transfer
Once all of the information is filled out for
Sender Information
Receiver Information
Receive FFL Notes (if applicable)
Transfer Details
1.Click Submit at the bottom of the page
Ring out Receiving Customer
After the Receiving FFL Firearms Transfer has been created, ideally you would want to contact the Customer and tell him/her that their Firearm is ready to be picked up. This process begins when the Customer is at the Store and ready to pick up their Firearm.
1. Create a sales order
a. Hover the mouse over Point of Sale
b. Then hover over Sales Order
c. Click Create Sales Order
2. Input in the customer name
3. Change the Transaction Type to ‘Transfer’ In
4. Select the proper Transfer for the customer
5. Click Add
6. Ensure Quantity and Sell Price of Transfer Fee item is as expected, if not click on SLI and edit either field
7. Click Confirm Bound Book Info
8. Fill out all required fields including OTSN/NTN
9. Click Proceed with FastBound Disposition
10. Cash out the customer utilizing the proper payment method
